The first step to scheduling your blood draw is to go to the location search tab and input “all other tests” and your zip code on the Quest Diagnostics page!

After inputting your zip code, choose a location that is a convenient fit for you. The location MUST HAVE Quest Diagnostics in the name.

Once you choose a location that works best for you, you will be directed to a page with a map indicating the Quest location and the services hours. Click on the schedule appointment button!

Once you click on schedule appoint it will prompt you to login. Do not login, rather click the “Continue as a Guest” button!

After you click “Continue as Guest” you will be given options to pick a date and time for your blood draw. Choose a time that works best for you, please note; times shaded in grey are not available.

Please only schedule your appointment on Monday-Friday. If you schedule on the weekend, you will be turned away.

Once you pick a date and time it will be highlighted in green, then click continue!

Fill in the required information!

When asked about insurance, select “the person being tested will bring it to the appointment.” Once this is selected click continue. Please note, you do not need to bring any insurance to the appointment, all costs for the blood draw are covered by this study and will not be linked to your insurance.

You will have the option to review all the details and change anything that you like. Once you have done that click “Schedule appointment"

After you click schedule appointment, you will get an appointment confirmation which will have all the details you need about your blood draw. You will also receive an email about your appointment! This completes your scheduling.

How to prepare for your Quest appointment

Here are some helpful things to remember leading up to your appointment:

  • Bring a Printed out version of your order confirmation sheet to Quest! This has important directions for Quest employees and is required to have your blood draw!

  • Please note, the birthdate on the order confirmation will not be yours! Since your order confirmation is de-identified the birthdate is also de-identified meaning it will be diffrent then your actual birthdate

  • Please fast for at least six hours leading up to your appointment

  • Drink water before your appointment, as this may make the blood draw process easier

What to expect at Quest:

  1. Upon arrival you will check in for your appointment with your name. Some Quest locations will have a kiosk to check in with, and others you may need to check in with a worker.

  2. After you check in, you will be instructed to sit in the waiting room until you are called. People with appointments will be seen first, so it is of utmost importance to schedule an appointment, not walk in.

  3. Once a Quest worker calls you back, hand them your printed order confirmation sheet. They may ask you questions, please refer them to the order confirmation and lab directive. If they still have questions, please reach out to the BANK CTE study team at (617) 358-0774.

  4. Once they pull up your order, they will start the blood draw!
